A new and exciting role has been created for a Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Advisor to help deliver our SHEQ vision.

Due to internal promotion, we are now seeking a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Assurance (SHEQ) Advisor to support the business reporting to the SHEQ Manager.

This post could be based either at our Diss or Romanian facility.

What you will be doing?

  • Ensuring that the business is legally compliant and kept up to date with applicable changes in EU and local legislation.

  • Supporting the SHEQ Manager to continuously improve Behavioural Safety and Unsafe Situation Reporting culture across the business.

  • Supporting the quality and process continuous improvement (CI) programme.

  • Assist in the delivery of lean manufacturing and business improvement techniques.

  • Supporting internal QA and EHS audits and liaise with external auditors (including customer and supplier audits);  this includes off site auditing.

  • Be a representative of the EHS committee and recognise the need for the EHS committee to be a three-way communication tool and a focal point for EHS improvement across the business.

  • Ensuring Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and Emergency response processes are in place and reviewed as required.

  • Collating the data required for the businesses annual carbon ‘Beyond Net Zero Company’ certification.

  • Conducting emergency response training including fire drills and spillage control on your designated site(s).

What skills will you need to be successful?

  • Relevant EU Health & Safety qualification with working experience of supervising Safety

  • Previous responsibility for quality assurance, in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Trained in, and working experience of, internal and/or customer audits.

  • Understanding of and use of lean manufacturing techniques in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365

  • Preferably Previous experience of manufacturing or engineering within the automotive industry and previous experience using SharePoint
