BF Manufacturing SLR, Romania is part of the bf1systems Group headquartered in UK. The harness production facility is based in Simeria but will be based in Deva later in the year.
We now have a newly created position for an IMDS Technician to join our team in Romania.
What will you do?

You will maintain and support bf1’s International Material Data System (IMDS) needs associated with our customer’s projects and liaise with our supplier stakeholders.

You will make sure that all parties know, understand and adhere to IMDS and ensure compliance.

You will analyse Project Bill Of Materials (BOMs) – identifying suppliers of materials with and without IMDS’s; identifying all parts which require material data sheets and liaise with engineering to ensure latest BOMs and material data sheets are valid.

You will ensure suppliers provide material data sheets so that IMDS timelines can be met and are aligned to project deadlines.

You will create BOM’s in IMDS.
What skills and experience do you need?

Proven experience in Manufacturing – ideally an automotive environment

Knowledge of ISO9001
-
An awareness/knowledge of the APQP and PPAP processes

A good appreciation of different types of commodities within manufacturing:
o Composites
o Electronics
o Injection moulding
o Machining
o Metallurgy

Be competent in English – both written and verbal
-
Able to communicate effectively to Customers, Suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Able to work as part of a team and /or on an individual basis as required.

Able to prioritise workloads effectively

Trained to basic level of IMDS as a minimum

Aware and have knowledge of TS16949
