bf1systems and Strakka Racing Enter Development Partnership

bf1systems are pleased to announce a development partnership that will see the two companies collaborating on tyre pressure and temperature monitoring, wiring harness, force measurement and composite solutions.

Having worked together for a number of years on projects such as the HPD LMP1 and LMP2 and the Renault World Series 3.5, the two companies have taken the next step and have entered a development partnership, initially working together on the new Strakka Dome S103.

“We have worked with Strakka for a number of years on different projects, and already had some involvement with the Strakka Dome S103 as a component supplier,” says James Shingleton, Business Development Director at bf1systems, “but during further discussions with Strakka Racing it became clear that we both had an appetite to work closer together. The development partnership allows us to bring our extensive experience in a wide range of areas to the team, allowing them access to our facilities and capabilities, whilst we enhance our knowledge of motorsport’s toughest race series and can develop new solutions to solve the challenges seen.”

“At the moment we will not go into too many details as to the exact areas we are working on,” says Dan Walmsley, Team Principal at Strakka Racing, “but bf1systems already supply wiring harnesses and tyre pressure and temperature measurement solutions to the car, and these are areas where their knowledge and equipment will help us develop the car further within the LMP2 regulations.”.

As the season progresses the two companies will be releasing case studies to showcase the outcomes of the development partnership, and allow people to understand what goes on behind the closed doors.
