bf1systems Completes Acquisition of Motor Sport Sector Specialist, KA Sensors
bf1systems, the market-leading provider of electronic and electrical solutions for the motorsport and automotive industries, and BGF portfolio company, has acquired KA Sensors as part of its acquisitive growth strategy.
Founded in 1994, bf1systems designs, manufactures and distributes high precision components, including steering wheels, tyre pressure and temperature monitoring systems, force measurement components and wiring harness assemblies. Based in Norfolk, bf1systems’ components are used in every major motorsport series around the world, including Formula 1™, GT racing and Formula E, as well as by high performance road cars, with a client list that includes Bugatti, Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin and McLaren.
BGF backed bf1systems with £2.4 million in November 2019 to support its long-term growth strategy, through the expansion of its product offering and the development of new partnerships.
KA Sensors Ltd is a specialist sensor manufacturing company based in Lincolnshire. It produces a wide range of sensors and has considerable expertise in supplying the motorsport and automotive testing industry. The business was founded in 2006 by Peter Trevor. bf1systems has partnered with KA Sensors for 3 years, acting as a reseller of its products within the sector.
The acquisition will enhance bf1system’s product offering and cement its position as a market leader in the provision of electrical, electronic and integrated electronic solutions to its high-profile customer base.
