One of BERU f1systems’ core capabilities lies in its force
measurement division. We are renowned for providing
bespoke solutions to difficult and hard to reach areas of
force measurement. High accuracy parts are supplied for
very harsh environments and 99% of our parts are bespoke.
Design, FEA, manufacture and calibration is all conducted
in house. Resulting in fast turn around times which can be
as low as two weeks from concept to delivery.
BERU f1systems’ integrated measurement components incorporate
state-of-the-art electronics for laboratory and field
applications. By amplifying the loadcell signals locally
to the strain gauge circuit, our microprocessor amplifiers
are able to compensate for temperature induced errors
normally present in automotive applications.
Many years
of loadcell design experience allows us to take your
application from initial conception all the way through to
a highly accurate calibrated product allowing capture of
road load data. Our team of engineers can advise on
component geometry in order to maximise the performance of
the measurement installation or produce bespoke designs
from initial component geometry allowing total integration
into the car without compromise.
We have experience in the design of force measurement
products in applications such as, MacPherson struts,
damper top mounts, engine mounts, steering rods, anti-roll
bar links, pedal forces, gear lever forces, steering
torque and driveshaft torque. Typical force ranges and
specifications are shown in the right, but these can be
adapted to suit specific applications.
